Welding generators are designed to power one or two welding stations during manual arc welding, cutting and surfacing of metals with a direct current melting electrode. Generators belong to the type of valve, brushless, inductor synchronous machines of increased frequency. The stationary power winding and the excitation winding minimize contact losses, thereby increasing efficiency and allowing an increase in rotation speed.
